For someone who uses a lot of beauty products, it takes me a surprisingly long time to actually finish something. What happens is I get bored with a product halfway through, switch to something else, and then eventually switch back to the original product. So imagine my surprise when I finally managed to accumulate 4 empties that I can share with you guys!
- SK-II Facial Treatment Essence – Ah, the miracle water of skincare products. I bought this on a whim at the duty free shop in Narita Airport, not really knowing what to expect, except that this is supposed to make my skin amazing. Sadly I did not notice any incredible improvements with my skin, but I did notice how awful this smelled. I might give this another try in a couple of years – maybe my skin doesn’t have enough issues for the miracle water to do its work?
- H2o+ Hand & Foot Smoother – One of my favorite hand/foot creams that moisturizes and softens without being greasy. I switched to a TonyMoly hand cream after finishing this, and the TonyMoly one has nothing on this. I’m definitely repurchasing this once I’m done with my current hand cream.
- Ola Tropical Apothecary Pikake Body Lotion – This was some seriously luxurious body lotion, and it smelled so good. What I really loved about this lotion were the 100% natural ingredients – aloe, coconut oil, avocado oil, macadamia nut oil, just to name a few. The price is a little high though ($18 for 4 oz!), so I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase this.
- Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50 PA++++ – I’ve raved about this sunscreen in several posts, but it’s seriously amazing. Given it’s high UVA/UVB protection, you’d think it’d be super greasy, but it’s the complete opposite. It has a light watery texture that feels refreshing on your skin, perfect for the summer time. I’m on my 3rd tube of this, and will definitely repurchase when I run out.
Hope you enjoyed this mini review, and if you did, please give Geeky Posh a like on Facebook! I will be doing another giveaway on the blog once I reach 200 likes! Have a wonderful rest of the week!
i have dehydrated combo/oily skin and yes with a lot of blackheads and large pores!! =(
by the way, are you taiwanese/chinese? i’m guessing from the magazines. i’m taiwanese and i live in the US.
Did the sk-II Essence help with your large pores? Maybe I was so focused on my dark spots I didn’t pay attention to any other areas.
And yes, I am Taiwanese! I like using my Taiwanese magazines as backgrounds because the spreads are usually really pretty :)
hi! recently found your blog and love it. where do you get the biore?? maybe your skin is already good to begin with cuz i love the sk2 essence. i’m down on my sample size and just haven’t splurged on the regular size yet but i feel like it makes my skin smooth and glowy but i have crappy skin to begin with…
Hi Lynda, so glad to hear you like my blog! If you’re in the US you can find Biore sunscreens on Amazon or eBay. If you don’t mind me asking, what skin issues do you have? I have problems with dark spots and blackheads, neither which the sk-ii essence seemed to address :( Maybe it works well for other skin issues?
