  1. Oh what a great mix of products – many of which I’ve been eyeing for a while. It’s a shame Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm wasn’t great and I’d hate to always use a washcloth. I’ll definitely be checking out Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and the Marc Jacobs gel crayon eyeliner! I love the NARS satin lip pencil (umm if i could only find Rikugien now). What do you find comparable? Thanks for the rundown!

So many empties and I love how you build up this post! I love the Klairs Blue Drops, too…and I’m definetly for a bigger size of them :D I also enjoyed the iUnik Rose Galactomyces Serum and I would say they did something for my face while using. The skin looks more even and glowy.

Loving these types of honest posts from you, so good to know what’s worth the money, and what to avoid! I’ve tried some Shiseido products before and I’ve always had terrible luck with them, so I am not surprised their sun screen wasn’t great! Not sure what it is, but definitely disappointing especially considering the price tag. Thanks for sharing this, beaut. xoxo

I really love how you’ve categorised these into three sections, such a good idea! Ooh, I’m super curious about Crabtree & Evelyn’s body souffle; a brand that constantly seems to impress :)

Always yes to repurchase the Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop! :) And when it comes to iUnik, I don’t why, I like them too but not enough to repurchase them.

The shiseido sunscreen is that bad? :0 I don’t know how it can both be drying and oily at the same time. Oooohh and love for Klairs! Trying out their products recently.

    Joy to the World!

  8. Lindsey says:

Hahaha, “Sorry but no” is the best header! I think I prefer watching empties posts on instagram/videos. But that being said, I didn’t dislike reading through this either. I guess it’s whatever you want to do!

  9. Great list of empties! I don’t think I’ve really tried these products. I’m hoping to try more skincare products. I feel so out of the loop.

First of all, kudos to you for collecting so many empties. Personally, I throw away stuff as soon as I am done with it, I don’t have enough patience I guess lol Secondly, the top list here sounds very intriguing (I have a new list now!). I certainly agree with you about Earth(quake) Highliner – it is my favourite shade too! I often wear it instead of a gel liner, it is perfect. I also find that the formula is better than say of the black shade from the same range. I threw away all of my other gel-pencils as soon as I tried MJ! xx

Oh, no! Please keep your reviews on your blog. At 64, I don’t Instagram. I buy some of your favorite items and find that I am also a repeat buyer on several items that seem to be pretty awesome products.

    • Jenny says:

Thanks for the input Anita, it sounds like most people prefer the empties reviews on the blog, so that’s where they’ll stay :) So glad you were able to find products that worked for your skin!

  12. I think it’s been almost a year since my last empties post so you’re definitely keeping it at it better than me Jenny ;p I also prefer these type of post on blog form just for a readability. I feel the same as you about the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and Oskia Super 16 Serum as both have worked wonderfully for my skin and just feel so luxurious. I didn’t realize how expensive the Super 16 was because I had received a PR sample but I would consider repurchasing it as well.

    • Jenny says:

It’s hard to keep up with empties, sometimes I’m just so tempted to toss all the trash out, haha. I think the Oskia products are less expensive when purchased through CultBeauty, especially if they have a sale, so I would recommend making your repurchases there. Also thanks for the feedback about the review format – looks like my trash pileups are here to stay! ????????

  13. I used to love Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm but have since found so many that are better and cheaper. I finished my Klairs serum too and my skin misses it sooooo much, definitely will be repurchasing soon! And I prefer empties on the blog, easy for me to read and refer back to.

    • Jenny says:

Oooh please do a balm cleanser roundup post, I would love to hear your thoughts on what you’ve tried so far!! Also thank you for the input about the empties format, it seems that everyone prefers blog posts over IG stories!

  14. I prefer them on the blog, I just cannot read quick enough on Instagram Stories to really take in all the details, and I probably wouldn’t bother clicking through to the full review on there too.
Oh, and the Thermal Cleansing Balm, though I don’t mind the wash cloth, was not my cup of tea either.

  15. Lena L says:

I see your empties post as a collection of mini-reviews which is always interesting to read for me. Occasional Instagram posts would be nice as well. :)

I was going to purchase the Anessa next time but maybe I should just keep using my current favorite (Kanebo Allie). Everyone seems to like the Anessa Aqua Booster so I was curious. Good to know!

    • Jenny says:

Thank you for the feedback Lena, I’m going to keep these review posts but I’ll try to add occasional IG stories for products like sheet masks or something :)

I’ve tried the Kanebo Allie as well and definitely prefer that. I’ve heard good things about the Anessa in the gold bottle though, so I might try that one next time!
