My Skincare Journey
I tried my first facial cleanser when I was 11 and had a “skincare routine” for years, but it wasn’t until my mid 20’s when I realized that I had no idea what I was doing. Blindly following trends delivered poor or even opposite results, and I was scratching my head at why.
I was also clueless in how to deal with my own skincare concerns: dark spots, dullness, and rough texture, and the “information” I found back then was either way too basic or too complex. They didn’t seem trustworthy either – anyone can make claims, I want to see the evidence!

I started Geeky Posh in 2012 as an outlet to share my own skincare trials and errors (and trust me there were a lot of errors), relying on research journals and healthcare professionals to fact check my findings.
Through 20+ years (both as an amateur and a serious skincare researcher) of testing thousands of products and working with industry professionals, I’ve learned so much about not only my skin but all aspects of skincare.
My goal is to be thorough but also simple enough so you can feel confident building an effective and efficient skincare routine that meets your needs.
