The Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum is one of the first Klairs product I tried, but I’ve been hesitant to review it until now because it was, well…not very exciting. But just because it’s not exciting doesn’t mean it’s not incredible for my skin…
This is a medium-weight serum that promises to hydrate and soothe even the most sensitive skin. It comes in a dark pump bottle, which is nice because it minimizes the ingredients exposure to light and makes for an easy + hygienic application.

At first glance the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum has an impressive list of ingredients, including plenty of beneficial plant extracts and amino acids. It also doesn’t contain alcohol or any potential acne triggers, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
Unfortunately many of the plant extracts are listed towards the end of the list, and considering how Korean cosmetics order their ingredient list, those plant extracts may not be enough have any positive impact on our skin.
But it makes my skin feel so good!
Despite whatever shortcomings (if you can even call it that) this serum has with its ingredients, it really lives up to its claim of hydrating and soothing my skin. The serum itself has a clear and slightly tacky texture, but spreads and absorbs quite quickly.
The Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum is my go-to when my skin feels dry, irritated, or when I’ve just used an active in my routine (which usually results in the dry + irritated status anyways). While it wasn’t a regular in my routine, it definitely became one when I started using Retinol, and now my Curology prescription which contains Tretinoin/Retin-A. I’m 99% sure this serum is the reason why my skin hasn’t thrown a temper tantrum (yet), and for that I’m truly grateful.

Sometimes you don't appreciate how amazing a product is until your skin really needs it. Such is the case with the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum. It was nice before I started using Retinol (now replaced with my Curology prescription) daily, but now it's like nice. It's definitely better and more affordable than my old favorite Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster, and I'd recommend this to anyone looking to some extra hydration + TLC in their skincare routine.

which one is better for winter, i m from honey cream or klairs rich moist soothing serum???
my skin is dry and I don’t want to loss my glow in winter.
Hi Sharmin!
The cream and serum are 2 different products, so it’s hard to compare. I think both will be great for the winter time, as the Klairs serum will provide hydration and soothe the skin, while the I’m From Honey cream will nourish your skin and seal all the hydration in to prevent your skin from drying out. Hope this helps!
How do you compare this to the ever so popular Innisfree Green tea seed serum? I got it when my skin was going through a dehydrated phase and it worked amazingly back then, but my skin got used to it or something and it never worked the same way it did before (same thing happened to my Hada Labo lotion)
Hi Noah! I have both, and I think the Klairs Serum is definitely more hydrating. The Innisfree Green Tea Seed serum has a lighter texture and is really refreshing in the summer time, but if my skin is dry and/or irritated, I would pick the Klairs serum. I think it would work well with dehydrated skin, so I would definitely recommend giving it a try :)
